Sustainable utilization of game fauna as a renewable national heritage, driven by scientific research and innovation, to ensure the sustainable management of resources within agricultural ecosystems.
Assessing Fauna Dynamics
The primary goal was the scientific evaluation of game species. By monitoring population trends and reproductive success, we analyzed the expansion of carnivore populations and their impact on biodiversity in both natural and human-modified ecosystems, pinpointing the drivers of faunal instability.
To promote sustainable management, we developed technical recommendations for harvesting quotas and seasons. We implemented supplementary feeding strategies for the autumn-winter months and administered antiparasitic and immunostimulatory treatments, ensuring the biosecurity and overall health of game populations.
